'Flag The Technology,' Market Outlook on Tap for Arkansas Soybean Meeting

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.-(UACES)--An overview of the new "Flag the Technology" program and the 2012 market outlook are on the agenda for the Jan. 26 Arkansas Soybean Association Annual meeting in Brinkley.

Flag the Technology is a statewide program started in 2011 by the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture aimed at helping growers and applicators avoid using the wrong herbicides on fields and minimize drift damage from neighboring fields. The program was developed by Ron Baker, Clay County extension agent for the Division of Agriculture. The Arkansas Soybean Promotion board has provided funding to expand the program in 2012.
